The “Bayram Havası” social responsibility project, initiated by Yıldız Technical University Development and Innovation Club (YTÜ GEİK), was successfully carried out in Kütahya this year with Gürok Group as the main sponsor. Within the scope of National Sovereignty and Children’s Day on April 23, visits were made to five village primary schools in the Altıntaş district, reaching 200 children. While the children fully enjoyed the festive spirit, lasting contributions were also made to the schools.
Gürok Group, which considers contributing to the social and cultural development of Kütahya as one of its core responsibilities, shared in the joy of children’s celebrations through this meaningful project. During the activities held between April 22–24, YTÜ GEİK volunteers came together with children in primary schools and organized a variety of fun workshops, including dance, theater, and painting activities.
Within the scope of the project, Eymir, Üçhüyük, Çayırbaşı, Beşkarış, and Yalnızsaray village primary schools in the Altıntaş district were visited. Throughout the events, the joy and energy of the children filled the village schools, while gift packages prepared according to identified needs were also delivered to students. Thus, not only was the holiday spirit shared, but also tangible support contributing to the children’s educational journey was provided.
“This happiness is very meaningful for us to grow together”
Esin Güral Argat, Vice President of the Board of Gürok Group, shared her views on the project:
“We are very pleased to have supported the realization of the Bayram Havası project this year in Kütahya, on the lands where our roots are. Witnessing the smiles on the faces of our children in the village schools of Altıntaş once again showed how meaningful and necessary this project is. The volunteer young people of YTÜ GEİK demonstrated an exemplary spirit of solidarity with their dedication and energy. As Gürok Group, we will continue to contribute to this movement of kindness, which is a concrete reflection of our ‘do good’ value.”
Initiated in 2019 by YTÜ GEİK volunteers under the motto “Until There Is Not a Single Child Left Unreached,” the Bayram Havası project continues to reach village schools across different regions of Türkiye every year. This year as well, it created unforgettable moments by sharing the joy of the holiday with hundreds of children in Kütahya.
