Contributing to Türkiye across a wide range of sectors, from industry and tourism to construction and fast-moving consumer goods, Gürok Group has taken its corporate investments in research, development, and innovation to the next level. The Group’s R&D Center in Kütahya successfully fulfilled all required criteria and was officially certified by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, securing its place among Türkiye’s distinguished R&D centers.
Innovation for Higher Added Value
Emphasizing that innovation lies at the heart of the Group’s way of doing business, Gürok Group Vice President of the Board Esin Güral Argat said:
"As Türkiye, increasing our capacity for high value-added production begins with R&D and innovation. As the number of organizations that innovate, create qualified employment, and develop technology continues to grow, Türkiye’s position in global competition will become even stronger. At Gürok Group, if we have established a strong presence in global markets today through our brands and export network reaching 140 countries, we owe this to our investments in engineering capabilities, technology, human resources, and product quality. The certification of our R&D Center by the Ministry is a natural extension of this vision and an important indication of our determination to strengthen our capabilities under a structured corporate framework. We see contributing to our country’s technology development capacity and increasing the added value of our exports as a responsibility of an industrial group that extends from Kütahya to the world. We are proud to be part of this ecosystem."
A Determined Step Toward a Technology-Developing Gürok
Highlighting that the Ministry’s certification will enable the Center’s activities to progress in a more systematic manner, Esin Güral Argat added:
"The GÜROK R&D Center will continue to focus not only on improving our existing products and processes, but also on developing new materials, production technologies, digitalization applications, sustainability solutions, and future business models. Through this structure, we will accelerate the commercialization of technologies developed within our Group, increase our patent, utility model, and other intellectual property outputs, and strengthen our collaborations with universities, research institutions, and technology startups. We will expand the number of projects focused on digital transformation and sustainability while systematically advancing our efforts to develop high value-added products and technologies."
Becoming an Important Part of the Ecosystem
The title of R&D Center is not granted merely through an application process. Companies are rigorously evaluated against a wide range of criteria, including research and development capabilities, qualified human resources, project management infrastructure, technology development capacity, intellectual property approach, and a sustainable innovation culture.
As of the end of 2025, there were 1,363 R&D Centers operating across 58 provinces in Türkiye. As a newly certified member of this distinguished ecosystem, the GÜROK R&D Center will contribute to strengthening the country’s technology development capacity and innovation ecosystem.
